    Pumping iron isn't the only way to grow muscle. Let's be honest the older you get, the less sustainable just lifting is. Pilates is comprised of all muscle contractions simultaneously to create length in the spine first then through all extremities. You are forced to use your body in ways you never have before and engage your muscles like never before. The benefits can be better than conventional lifting, without the joint pain. This is why MEN that have a regular Pilates practice look taller, leaner, and more muscular then those that don't. If your in shape or out of shape, an athlete, a weekend warrior, young or old, Pilates will build strength, coordination, stability, mobility, balance and control efficiently and effectively with little to no impact while building neuromuscular connections.
